מאמא לולו היא מסעדה משפחתית של אוכל ביתי בשכונת בזל היאפית, מסעדה זו מוסיפה הרבה אופי לסצנת השכונה מכיוון שרוב המקומות באיזור מגישים מנות בית קפה סטנדרטיות, לעומתן מאמא לולו היא מסעדה עם אוכל ביתי אותנטי וטעים, שמרגיש כמו אוכל מהבית של סבתא.

בעבר המקום נקרא לולו קפה ופטיסרי, לפני כשנה המקום שינה את עצמו לחלוטין, והפך ממסעדה צרפתית קרירה ומרוחקת למסעדה משפחתית חמימה, שינוי זה מושך למקום קהל שונה לגמרי.

בתפריט אפשר למצוא מגוון תבשילים וקדרות, קציצות תוצרת בית, ממרח כבד עוף, מנות טריפוליטאיות, מרוקאיות ועירקיות, ובעיקרון כל האוכל הביתי שתוכלו לחשוב עליו.

Mama Lulu is a home food family restaurant in the Yuppie area of Basel neighborhood which adds a lot of character to the local scene since most of the places in this area have the average coffees shop food while Lulu is authentic and natural, you’ll almost feel at your grandmother’s house.

The place was called Lulu coffee and patisserie until a few months ago however it had changed its theme completely and as a part of this new face lift it had moved from the far and distant French restaurant style into a family grandma’s version, a fact that attracts a whole new crowd.

You can find various stew types and casseroles along with homemade meatballs, chicken liver paste, Tripolitan, Moroccan  and Iraqi dishes, basically all the goodies you can think off.
