Falafel Banin (everyone calls him Johnny) was founded on 1955, in a time that there were not many culinary institutes in Tel-aviv, but Johnny was there.

The Bezalel market was destroyed 10 years ago, it was a place for many street food small kiosks, they were all closed when the market died but Banin stayed, the last survivor.

Falafel Banin is a place you will get a big Pita with yellow falafel balls, some will call it dry, but you gotta love it its full of flavor, in addition you will get in your pita salad and cabbage and a big fried potato, all squeezed in to make the perfect falafel dish.

During the last few years Johnny is making a gluten free version of his falafel.

פלאפל בנין (כולם קוראים לו ג’וני) נוסד ב -1955, בתקופה שלא היו הרבה מוסדות קולינריים בתל אביב, אבל ג’וני היה שם.

שוק “בצלאל” נהרס לפני 10 שנים, הוא היה המקום לאוכל רחוב בדוכנים קטנים, כולם היו סגורים כשהשוק מת, אבל בנין תמיד היה נשאר עד הסוף.

פלאפל בנין היא מקום שבו תקבלו פיתה גדולה עם כדורי פלאפל צהובים, חלק יגידו שהוא יבש, חלק יגידו שהוא יבש בטעמים, בנוסף תקבלו סלט כרוב ותפוח אדמה מטוגן גדול, כולם נכנסים אל הפיתה ויוצרים את צלחת הפלאפל המושלמת.

במהלך השנים האחרונות ג’וני עושה גרסה ללא גלוטן של הפלאפל שלו.
