Calypso is what you can call a mega beach restaurant, it provides for a casual dining experience with  Mediterranean vibes, a kind that allows you to enjoy good food while at the beach. It’s pretty hard to combine good food with beach time at the moment since the usual Tel-aviv beach restaurants are usually serving an upgraded bar menu.

The head chef is Omer Miller, a celebrity chef with a few more restaurants in the city, this is his first beach restaurant. It is pretty big, according to the press it can accommodate 1000 customers simultaneously, it’s divided into a few compounds, the closed restaurant, outer deck and the beach part.

The menu is from the sophisticated beach restaurant genre with items like salmon burger, gazpacho with seafood and Arab salad and tuna ceviche.
